VLC Player Preview - Not an Option

Our client (owner of the Box.com folders we share) is able to use VLC media player to preview .asf audio files in box.com without downloading the file. The VLC option is not available when I click on more options for the same file. Is there a reason we have different options, and can I get the VLC option added in some way?
