Not being able to find an answer, and not getting a reply here, I moved the assets over to Google Drive, set the permissions, and am getting good results now. Bye Bye, Box !

Similar here...Shared folder links work fine when pasted into a browser's navigation bar..but the same link, when embedded in a web page, fails to cause the page to load - in all browsers (Mac)This...
