Files uploaded and saved outside of folders

I created folders to share with others, invited them to upload documents,  however, when they uploaded their files, they dropped them outside of the folder and I am not able to see those documents.  I would like to clean these files up, if there are any and also wondered about the security of the files since I am not able to see them.  These are tax documents and need to be secured.  Does anyone have any helpful information or experienced this before?

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    I would suggest to search for the file and move them back to the original folder. Could you please confirm what Box app are they using? Is it Box Drive or Box Sync?
