Box is only accepting top level folder upload from invited collaborator, no folders or files inside

Hi Box Community,

I have been able to drag and drop files, folders, and nested folders, and guessed that anyone that I invited to a folder as a collaborator with editor rights would be able to do the same.

However I have a collaborator who tried the drag and drop and folder upload options, and the top level folder appears with no content inside.

There is plenty of storage available and the files are not larger than 50 GB. The files are pdfs under 1 GB each.

I also tried the file request option, but that requires document by document upload from within each folder.

Why would files not upload inside the top level folder when an editor drags and drops?

Is there another way to do this without uploading document by document?
