Files not syncing to my Mac or my iPhone

My Mac computer requires me to re-install box every time I update my computer.  This last time when I did that, it ended up duplicating files and now nothing is syncing correctly.  To put it mildly, everything is a mess.  I keep all of my client files in box so it is extremely disrupting and frustrating.. Help!
