Box changes the name of my files when I upload

Every time I select files to upload, Box automatically changes the name to a few letters and numbers. It allows me to rename the files with their correct names, so I don't think it's a length issue. Anyone know how to fix this?

    hi, this is doing it to me as well regardless of file type or whether I upload or copy over docs. i can see original post was 6 months ago but the issue is still here - any updates as to how to get around this?
