How do I stop getting unsolicited collaborators?!

I keep receiving Emails in my regular, personal Email like the one below (hundreds of them!), from people I don't know AND I've never used, wanted, or needed any "Collaborators" - AND there are also a LOT of names and email addresses listed in my box as current Collaborators, whom I don't know and never asked to collaborate. AND, how did all these people get my name and Email address in this context?

Sorry to ask such a 'stupid' question, but do I have certain Settings that I need to change or what do I do to ensure more privacy and unwanted collaborators?? Thank you!! Jim
