Files will not sync Red Dot

Using Box Sync I have a folder that is synced.  I added a new folder within that folder and it will not sync, I get the red dot even if the folder is empty.

  I'm also having problems with the same issue starting about a week ago.  I'm uploading files to a synced folder, but the files are red dotted.
