Shared boxlinks and changing document location

We are currenly re-organising our Box folders. I have a question regarding shared links.

If a file with a shared link is currently in folder A, and I would move this file to folder B, what will happen with the shared link I shared with others. Does this still work or do I need to share a new link? In other words, is a shared link, linked to a file or to it's location?

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    Moving a file into another folder directory does not break the original shared link. The only time the link changes is if you remove the link and re-enable it back.
