Box on Monterey is awful. It just doesn't work. Excel crashes when trying to open any spreadsheet in the

/Users/<user>/Library/CloudStorage/Box-Box/

directory, but works fine with any other files. Trying to edit files in the browser gives the option of BoxTools. I installed it. Now, BoxTools says it installed, but nothing changed. I don't see an improvement, nor is there a BoxTools in the Applications folder. Trying to use Google Sheets to open the file asks me to login to Google, but I already am logged in. There doesn't seem to be away to get around the login page. For now, the only option seems to be download the file and edit it locally. Why would any one use BOX and Monterey? Don't do it, if you can avoid it!
