Box Status

External Users Cannot open edit documents even with editor permissions.

I have 3 external users with editor permissions, and they cannot edit the contents of a folder shared with them. They can still view the files, it doesn't matter about the file format.

Is there a setting for the folder that I need to look into? I have another user who has no issues, and their settings are identical.

    Do these external users encounter any error message when they try to open and edit the documents you shared. Could you share a screenshot of what they see on their end when they attempt to edit so we can take a closer look?

    Hi France,

    I don't have a screenshot, however they just see the options to open the file with an editing tool be greyed out. No error messages.
