It looks like the issue is due to compatibility as it seems you also have Box Drive installed on your device. Box does not support running Box Sync and Box Drive simultaneously on a single machine.
We highly recommend using Box Drive as its the current Box desktop experience, does not require manual syncing (though this is available through the mark for offline option), and the issue you're experiencing is likely to be resolved straight away after installation.
