Any solution for embedding files in Safari?

We just realized that a simple file embed widget (as described here) doesn't seem to work on Safari because of its third-party tracker block, and it looks like that issue's well known as it's mentioned in some support posts like this one, and the documentation link above references that the embed may not work if "Allow cross-website tracking" isn't enabled in the browser.

I know it can be fixed by changing that privacy setting in Safari, but it'd be nice to find a better solution, so we don't have to try and walk customers through how to change these settings, especially on iPhones where there's no alternative browser.

Anyone know if there are any updates on this issue, and if there's a way to properly display embedded documents in Safari?
