Why has Box taken over my files?

Recently, document files on my PC have been taken over by Box.  When I try to open a file, I get a Box window which says I need to have java script.  But those files have never had anything to do with Box!

My account shows that I only uploaded 2 files, and that was in 2019.

How can I get rid of Box?  Or at least to get its hands off my files!?

  For me to check, may I please have a screenshot of what it looks like on your end? Have you checked your Trash folder?
