I changed Box Drive's folder location to D:\, but it's still storing on C:\ (Windows 10 64-bit)
回答済みMy laptop has a C:\ and a D:\. The C:\ is running out of storage space, so I want to use my D:\.
I read the "Configuring the Default Box Drive Location" documentation (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697454-Configuring-the-Default-Box-Drive-Folder-Location) and followed the instructions at "Configuring the location".
My created parent folder is D:\. When Box Drive launched, it did create a Box folder in D:\. However, when I moved files into this D:\Box\ folder, those files ate into my dwindling free space in C:\. So what am I doing wrong?

Hi there,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
I understand that you would like to change where Box Drive stores its app data or cached files. Unfortunately, there is no way to change this at present.
The article and steps in this article https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697454-Configuring-the-Default-Box-Drive-Folder-Location is allowing you to move only the location of the Box Drive mount point. The cache and app data locations remain unchanged. So even though you move the mount location to a hard drive partition other than C:\, you continue to use space in C:\."
As the article states:- Customizing the Box Drive folder does not change where Box Drive stores its app data or cached files. So customizing the folder will not save disk space if you relocate the folder to another drive.
This is issue has been raised to our Product team and there is currently a feature suggestion in Box Pulse to allow this. You can find the feature request in this post and add-in your vote if you would like to see this feature on future Box releases. https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778-help-shape-the-future-of-box/suggestions/37070209-box-drive-change-cache-location.
Let me know if you have questions and I will do my best to help you!
