    Hi Jshah,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

When you unsync a folder in Box.com, you are only removing it from your computer ﹣ it remains in your Box account.

There is no need to manually delete the folder from Box Sync folder, Box Sync will remove the folder from your computer by re-scanning your contents until its traces are gone.

In the words, the folder should disappear on its own once Box Sync completed the unsync process.

    Hi France,

I am just comparing Box.com to other application like OneDrive -

with OneDrive - I can free up space but I still see the file - I can double click on it anytime to download it again.

with Box.com - only one option I see unsync - it remove the file from the computer - I know the file still exist in the cloud but I want to still see it. is that passible ?

And one more thing please - Box.com sync app when I click sync - it sync everything was uploaded and there is no option from the app to select what to Sync and what not to sync - I wonder if the free version is different than business version ?

    Hi Alex,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

It sounds like the application that you need is Box Drive rather than Box Sync

Box Sync and Box Drive are two separate desktop applications that give you the ability to access Box content from your desktop environment. Box Drive locally cache files that you have opened, and mirrors the entire "All files" page in your Box Drive folder, while with Box Sync it only sync and download to your desktop the folders that you have marked for 'Sync'.

To learn more about the differences of these two I recommend checking out these articles:

Thanks for posting and please let me know how else we can help!

    Regards,
