Hi Anju,
Welcome to the Box Community!
If a folder owner has left your organization and you can no longer access a folder this user shared to you, you will need to connect with your Box admin to confirm if they deleted the previous employee from your Box organization with his contents or if they transferred contents of that user to someone else.
If the contents are being transferred, those folders will not be accessible to others until the transfer is completed. On the other hand, if the admin deleted the account with its contents, collaborations are not preserved, so you will have to let them know that the account store contents that you need access to, request that the account be restored with its contents so they can transfer the ownership of those contents and share them to you again.
You can contact your internal helpdesk or IT team to help you connect with the Box Admin that can address this.
Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,

Hi Peter,
Welcome to the Box Community!
It's likely that the account was set to "Inactive" thus shared contents are no longer visible to others.
Please contact the Primary admin that manages this user's Box and let them know that this user owns important contents that your team need access to so they can take action such as transfer the ownership of the folder to someone in your team.
Thanks for your post and let me know how else we can help!Best,
