Sync MS Office document properties to Box metadata

We would like to sync the File>Properties>Advanced document properties in Microsoft Office documents to Box metadata. It would be a one-way sync, copying the file properties into the metadata.

Has anyone done some development work on something like that? Or, is there an off-the-shelf capability that I'm not aware of?
