Application access to a free Box.com account

Can applications (custom applications that need to access Box.com account files) access files in a free Box.com account or does someone need a paid Box.com in order to allow applications to access their files?

  Hey  - yes. If you sign up for a developer account via developer.box.com, you receive your own Box enterprise that you can use. Files uploaded via either the Box web application or via the API can be accessed by the application.

  Thanks for the reply  but that wasn't really what I was asking. What I would like to know is if free Box.com accounts can be accessed using the API. I would like to use the Box API to access customer files. I am wondering if my customers need a paid Box.com account or will a Free Box.com account be sufficient?

   - so long as the files are stored within the EID that your API key is registered with and the account associated with the API key is collaborated on the folders that contain the files you wish to access, you can access the files via the API.
