How to create a new version of file if the file with already existing name uploaded?

Hello All,

I have created an application to upload files to box. I'm able to create folder and upload files inside it but whenever the file name is duplicated, It rejects the upload i.e. uploading is not happening if the file name is same. Can someone please suggest me how I can achieve this functionality? Thanks in advance

  Hey ,

   

  The endpoint that will allow you to upload a new file version can be found here. Using the Upload New File Version endpoint you will be able to avoid conflict if you are uploading files with the same name. 

   

  We have support for this in our SDK's, depending on which one you are using you can find them here: 

  • Node
  • .NET
  • Java
