'Get Embed Link' API method vs. Box Content Preview library

Hi,

Box Content Preview library (https://github.com/box/box-content-preview) works Box Notes files, but 'Get Embed Link' API method (https://developer.box.com/reference#get-embed-link) doesn't. What is the difference between them?

I expected them to work in the same way and support similar set of file types.
