Box Status

PDF file upload without password protected , but it got protected during the downlaod

Hi All,

 

Am uploading to box using upload api a pdf file which is not password protected.

 

But when i download it am getting  enforced to provide password.

 

How the file got converted to password protected by default.

    My name is Braden; I'm with Box Product Support and I wanted to reach out to you here in our Developer Forums. It looks like you raised a ticket to Box Product Support for this issue and we were able to identify the root cause of the issue; we were first able to confirm that the file was not changing in Box by comparing SHA1 hashes, then according to your communication with me on June 19th, this issue was resolved when you made some changes to the way your app was handling unicode as it was inadvertently adding some payload.
