Bulk edit folder name

Does anyone have experience or suggestions how to bulk edit folder names?
I have hundreds of folders which have brackets i.e. “[“ and “]” in the folder name which becomes an issue when I use Box Sync (or even Box Drive I believe), hence I want to change those characters to other like “-“ or “_”.

    Hi ,

     

    We have a naming convention for certain of our Box account folder trees. At one point we moved in a researcher's files from another system and he had 13K folders. We wrote a script to walk the folder tree and rename them to conform with the convention. If that would be helpful I'll ask my developer to clean it up and I can post it.
