Remove folder owner from accessing the folder

My colleague transitioned a project to me with the box folder. My colleague is the owner of the folder, and she sets me as a co-owner of the folder, Since she is not part of the project anymore, can I remove her (owner) from accessing the folder?

  Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post in the forum!

   

  Only folder owners can remove collaborators in a shared folder. The current folder owner would have to transfer the ownership of the folder to you and then you can remove her from that project folder afterwards.
