lost folder in Box
One of my folders in Box Drive had a red dot next to it in Finder on the Mac that showed “Problem item” when I hovered the cursor over it. I could open the folder in Finder and see a list of its contents but was unable to open any of the contained files. The folder itself was not even showing up at all in the browser version of Box. Same folder was perfectly fine as of the last time I accessed it probably a couple of days ago. My IT folks suggested it was a problem with Box Sync and I should turn that off and back on again - but I haven't been using Box Sync since the switchover to Box Drive! I saw that there was an update available for Box Drive and thought maybe that was my problem so I installed the update. The "problem folder" red dot in Finder turned to an "uploading to Box" message so I was encouraged - but after it finished whatever it was doing, the folder completely disappeared (I now can't see it at all either in the browser version of Box or in Finder)! Any thoughts on how I can recover this folder and its contents??? Surely it still exists somewhere...

Nevermind – I found it in my Box Trash. Somehow it ended up in a folder called “New Folder With Items” which had then gotten deleted. I have no idea how that happened – if I did it, it was totally inadvertent!! I was able to move the “New Folder With Items” folder out of Trash and back into “All Files.” I tried to move the original folder out of that folder to restore it to its original state, but was unable to do that. Would be great if someone could tell me how to do that – but at least I’m relieved that my files are still accessible!!
