Installed Older Version on top of New Version
I just installed Box Drive on my Mac. The next day, I was prompted to install the update, but now when trying to open the app, I get a "Box Drive has encountered an issue" popup box. The popup states "You installed an older version of Box Drive on top of a newer version." Please install the latest version of Box Drive. If the problem persists, please contact Box Support to further troubleshoot the issue." And then it forces me cancel (quit the app) or send a report.
Folders that had downloaded on my desktop no longer sync.
I tried uninstalling and installing again but I still get the same message and my folders still won't sync.
Please assist with resolving this problem asap.

I'm with Rich (immediately above). I am also experiencing this issue with the "older version of Box Drive on top of a newer version". I did the clean uninstall (including executing the script in the terminal), then reinstalling per https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407737091219-Using-Box-Drive-on-macOS-File-Provider-Extension-FPE-mode. The problem is not resolved; even did a couple of reboots. Any suggestions are welcome!

Hi,
I am able to fixed the issue. If someone still having issue, this are the steps:
1. Uninstall Box Drive
2. Rename CloudStorage folder - /Users/username/Library/CloudStorage
3. Re-install Box Drive and Box Tools
4. No need to reboot. Open Box Drive. This will recreate a new folder and re-sync all your files/folder.
