Different file paths between home and work computer

Hello,

I'm wondering if anybody else has this issue and an idea on how to fix this. I use my Box account (through my university) to store data and I use the file paths in Matlab. I can access the files on my lab PC fine, but when I attempt to access them in Matlab on my Home PC, the file path is different. As in, I am accessing the same file in the same Box directory but the user path is different. For example: on the lab PC the directory is: C:/Users/University/Box/SYNK-JPalazzolo/SYNKEEG but on my home PC it is C:/Users/Home/Box/SYNK-JPalazzolo/SYNKEEG. I understand these are two separate PCs but why is the directory different if I'm accessing the same file/folder on Box.

I apologize if I'm missing something obvious.

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

This is expected behavior since the directory for Box Drive takes on the individual's profile name or username on the computer where Box drive is installed.

Box Drive Directories (where Box Drive stores items on your machine):

Your Box folder:

Windows: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Box

OS X: /Users/<USERNAME>/Box
