    Thanks for your tip.  But the problem is not about the Box user being able to circumnavigate the firewall.  

    The problem is that the Box client is flooding our network with broadcast messages looking for some other device to sync to, when there is no other Box user. 

    I would like to stop the Box client from trying to sync with any other PCs on my network.  I think disabling "Lan Sync" might be the way to do that, but I haven't found valid answers as to how to do that. 

    Is there a way to stop the Box client from sending broadcast messages?  They are going to addresses like x.y.255.255 and 255.255.255.255, using port 17500.
