Deleting Files

HI There, I've been trying to delete files and clean out my deleted file so I can reduce the GB's used. No matter how much I seem to delete, the GB is not going down. Please let me know what I can do. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  Welcome to the Box Community! I'm happy to help.

  Looks like you still have files stored in the account. Deleted items which have been moved to the Trash still count towards total storage allocations.

  I suggest that once you delete the files, please contact us back to recalculate the count in your stored data usage.

  I am having the same issue.  I have deleted many GB worth of data, and deleted those files from trash, but my storage amount is not going down proportionately.  I performed a rough calculation of my actual storage size, and the Box calculation is more than 20% off.  For my 50GB account, Box is showing me "full" although I only have <40GB worth of data.
