Excel file corrupted
Help!
I have a spreadsheet that I use to track investments that I have stored in my Box account but open with Excel on my devices.
This morning I go to open it on my phone, only for it to have issues loading, next minute the file is unable to be opened at all and has a file size of zero bytes.
I'm thinking my only chance of recovering it is if I pay for a subscription that allows me to check version history, but even then there's no guarantee I'll be able to recover it.
Is there any way of contacting Box directly to investigate this?!

Hi there,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
Do you encounter the same issue when opening the file via the Box Webapp (using a browser)? How about if you download the file and open with your local MS excel app, are you able to open the file?
Regarding upgrading your account to access older versions of the file, this is something that we cannot guarantee as Version History is not retroactive. This means that version history will only show information that is created after the upgrade. If a user upgrades to a plan with version history, versions created prior to the will not appear for the user. Only versions and activity that was generated after the upgrade was shown will be available.
To learn more about version history, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697054-Accessing-Version-History
