Shared folder search function

I share some folders with people that do not have a Box account and they have noticed that there is no search function for these folders. Are Box.com bowser-based "guests" unable to search for files and folders?

  Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

  Please be advised that you must have a Box account is order to use the Box search feature. Furthermore, only content that you have access to (if you can preview and/or view) will display in search. Simply put, if you don’t have access to a file or folder within your account, it won’t show up in your search results.
