Sending Box Sign Requests through NetSuite

To use Box Sign with NetSuite, contact your Admins and refer them to the installation instructions.

Important: The instructions below are current as of April 3, 2024, but may vary depending on subsequent changes made to the NetSuite interface, which are outside of Box's control. 

Creating a Sign Request

Note: 

To use Box Sign features in NetSuite:

  1. Users must first be logged in to Box for Oracle NetSuite
  2. A Box folder must be associated with the NetSuite record. If none exists, create or associate one in the Box Content tab.

To create a signature request:

  1. In NetSuite, navigate to the record where you would like to send the signature request.
  2. Click the Send Box Sign button to open a new tab with the following:

  1. In the Document section, click Add Files from Box.
  2. Select up to 10 files you want to send, then click ✓.
    • You can also upload local files from your desktop to Box by clicking +, then Upload. 
  3. Optionally, in the Email Notification section:
    • Add an email subject and/or email body.
    • Check the SEND AUTOMATIC REMINDERS box to send reminders to Signers until it is signed.
  4. In the Recipients section, select the intended NetSuite Contacts. If your intended recipient is not a NetSuite contact, hover your mouse next to the NETSUITE CONTACTS dropdown, then click the button that appears to add them as a Contact.
    Note: At this time, all recipients must be NetSuite contacts. If a recipient is not a NetSuite contact, create a new NetSuite Contact for them.
  5. Modify the recipient’s role, as needed.
  6. Modify the signing order, as needed. By default, all recipients receive a signature request at the same time, with Signing Order 1.
  7. Click the Add/Edit button to add the recipient to the NETSUITE CONTACTS table. 
  8. Click Send to instantly send the signature request, or Preview & Send to preview and modify the signature request. You can add additional input and signature fields in preview. 

After you send a signature request, the document(s) in that request will be stored in that NetSuite record’s associated Box folder. You can check the status of the signature request on the Box Sign tab within NetSuite.
