You are seeing this error because your Admin has not enabled the enterprise for Box for Microsoft Office Co-Authoring.
To resolve this error, contact your Admin to have them enable Box for Microsoft Office Co-Authoring in the Admin Console, then try adding Box as a Place within Microsoft Office once more.
Outcome:
Once Box for Microsoft Office Co-Authoring has been enabled in the Admin Console, you should be able to successfully add Box as a Place within Microsoft Office.
