We released a new update on Box Tools Windows (v4.5.7) and Mac (v4.8.0) that will deliver new stability improvements as well as new product enhancements.
This release includes the following important improvements:
- Support for PKG installers for Mac - This has been a frequent customer request, and we're happy to announce that we've added support for PKG installers for Box Tools. This will enable admins to silently deploy Box Tools to their users in a more simple and scalable manner.
- 'Open With' Element support on Safari - We added support for the 'Open With' Element on Safari. The 'Open With' Element enables third-party web application developers to integrate Box Tools with their custom web applications so users can seamlessly view and edit their files from their native desktop applications. In addition to Safari, the Box Tools 'Open With' Element is already supported on all other browsers supported by Box Tools.
