Previously Box Shield supported auto-classification when the following file events occur:
-
Upload a new file to folders specified in classification policies
-
Update an existing file in folders specified in classification policies
-
Move or copy an existing file to folders specified in classification policies
-
Invite people to a file in folders specified in classification policies
-
Create a shared link for a file in folders specified in classification policies
-
Modify scope of a shared link, e.g., from "People in the company" to "People with the link", of a file in folders specified in classification policies
Box Shield has extended support of auto-classification to “preview", “download”, and more activities, which means auto-classification now triggers when the following file events occur:
-
When a file is previewed in folders specified in classification policies
-
When a file is downloaded in folders specified in classification policies
-
When a file is marked as the current version in folders specified in classification policies
-
When a file is undeleted from trash to folders specified in classification policies
There is no action required for admins as this additional capability will be automatically added to your tenant. If you have a classification policy enabled, auto-classification will be triggered when any of the above-mentioned “active” events occur going forward.
