Box is improving user management by enabling Auto-Enrollment Default ON for newly verified domains (Nov 2025)

To help enterprises reduce the risk of unmanaged users, Box will now default on auto-enrollment for all newly domains verified using a DNS TXT record. This means that any new user who signs up for Box with an email address that is part of a verified domain will be redirected to the enterprise's sign-up page, causing them to become a managed user of the enterprise. Doing this ensures new users from your domain will be managed by the enterprise and inherit the enterprise-level security and compliance settings admins configure. This feature will only apply to domains that are newly verified and will not apply to any unmanaged users retroactively. Admins can disable auto-enrollment at any time in the Admin Console.
