By integrating AI into core security functions like classification and threat protection, we are greatly expanding and streamlining how our customers protect their most critical and sensitive content.
A major challenge for security teams is the sheer volume of content creation and the increasing speed of collaboration, which is only growing with AI driving new productivity and automation. Managing and securing content appropriately at increasing scale can overwhelm security teams, leading to either de-prioritizing or just missing certain potential threats, adding to organizational risk. By integrating AI into Box content security, we are able to expand automatic classification to far more content than ever before, using context-driven analysis of sensitivity level to apply classification labels without requiring deterministic identifiers, such as credit card numbers. We’re also empowering security operations with additional threat alerting around ransomware and Box AI-driven summarization for Box Shield threat alerts, helping your security team stay on top of and rapidly remediate threat events. Box Shield Pro includes:
- AI Classification Agent, enabling admins to define content sensitivity for their organization in plain language prompts, then applying appropriate classification labels according to those definitions and the context of the content.
- Ransomware Activity Detection, a new detection algorithm that identifies file activity suggesting a ransomware event within Box Drive, and delivering an alert with options to terminate potentially compromised session(s) and restore impacted content.
- AI Threat Analysis Agent (Coming early next year), a Box AI Agent dedicated to summarizing threat alert details and context into an easily understood summary, enabling faster prioritization and remediation.
