Does BOX Desktop need to be open to view OFFLINE Files?
AnsweredHi there, does the Box Windows app need to be open to view files saved for offline? With Dropbox for comparrison, the folder is always there whether the app is open or not with all offline files available. If I want to re-sync the folder, I just turn on Dropbox and it does its thing.... Can I achieve the same with Box, when I exit the app, the folder disappears.... not ideal....
Thanks

Hi Graham,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
If you are using a Box desktop app such as Box Drive, the app needs to be running in the background (you can check this in the task manager in windows) in order for you to access files that you marked for offline use.
To learn more about using Box Drive, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697494-Using-Box-Drive-Basics
Thanks for posting and please let us know how else we can help!
