    Hi MJH,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

To confirm, did you edit your File using Box Tools/ Box Edit (opening files in webapp to your MS word desktop) or did you open it from your Box Drive and opened them via Word desktop?

Can you check your recently closed documents on your MS Word desktop to see if file you worked on and the changes is in there?

Looking forward to hear from you!

    Regards,

I had box open in my browser, opened the document, then chose “Microsoft Word, open this file to your desktop.” When I go under recent files in Microsoft word, it just opened the version saved on box from 7 days ago that had no edits.

    Hi MJH,

Did you click the "Save" button when you were working on this file?

When you saved the file, did you receive a similar message when you were saving your changes to Box as described in this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695454-Box-Edit-Error-Unable-to-Save-An-error-occurred-while-saving-to-Box

If you have, can you navigate to C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Box\Box Edit\Documents\ and see if you can find the version of the file you were working on. Typically, these are MS Office temporary files that start with "~$".

I don't know that I clicked save since I had left the document open. But the next morning, Word was closed so I don't know if it crashed or what. I navigated to that file location and there is no version of the document there.
