Why am I not able to delete files from my trash.

I own the files, and I want to delete the files from the trash, but I cannot do so. Also, I use Mac Os and have installed the desktop application, but it does not update my box. It only adds the files but does not delete them.

If you are unable to permanently delete items from your Box Trash, its most likely due to your company's Trash Policy.
Enterprise Admins can choose who will be allowed to permanently delete content in the trash. If this restriction is set, people can still move items to the trash, but only people in the specified roles can permanently remove items from trash. You may reach out to your Box Admin for further assistance on this.
