Can I select multiple files from a search result and then bulk/mass download these selected files?

    Unfortunately, we don't currently offer the feature you asked about downloading files in bulk from a search result.

    If this is something you would like to be able to do, I would highly recommend submitting this feature request at pulse.box.com! Our product managers review these requests and take them into consideration for future product development.

    It has always been possible to download multiple files by selecting them from a search result up until a couple of days ago. Are you saying this (rudimentary) feature has been discontinued? If so, why?

    Hi John, 

    At the moment, there isn't a way to download items in bulk from search results. You will have to manually select each file or folder you wish to download from a search in the Box webapp and this has been how the feature works.

    There are a few feature requests related to this, however our team has not made any announcement:

    If this is something you would like to be able to do, you may upvote the above suggestions and include your use case on the thread's comment section.

    Our product teams review and respond to ideas in Box Pulse so I would definitely encourage you to add your vote and your voice to this idea. We aren't able to implement every idea, but the more details we know about the use case and the impact, the better we are able to prioritize it.

    These responses are not addressing the glitch that OP and others are describing whereby multiple files cannot be selected for ANY purpose in search results. This is a very recent change in functionality.

    I did a "search" again today and from the search results, (a) selected multiple files and downloaded the selected multiple files in bulk from the search result and it was a success; (b) selected ALL files that were in the search result, downloaded all of them in bulk from the search result and it was a success. 

    I did my search on my enterprise paid account as well as on my free account. And they both worked.

    There must have been some issues with this search feature last Thursday when it wasn't working at all.

    I took screenshots as evidence that this search feature is available to use. 

    France - may I kindly request to validate and replicate my findings on your end. I have the screenshots from both the paid enterprise account and free account of successful bulk download if you need them.

    Also confirming: this "glitch" did return to normal functionality a couple of days later.
