Two factor authentication
AnsweredI have had a Box account for several years and never had two factor authentication enabled. When I attempt to login now, for some reason, it started asking me for two factor authentication. I dont know how this got enabled. And I dont get any prompts, texts, etc. on my phone, so I am unable to login now.
I contacted Box support via email for help (case #2745590). They wanted to verify my account ownership. But they ask verification questions that are unreasonable. For example: When was the account created? and When was the last successful login? The account was created several years ago, but how would I be expected to remember the exact date? And how would I be expected to remember the last successful login? It was probably sometime in Oct, but I dont make a note each time I login with the expectation that this may be the last time it works and I may need to remember the date.
I suspect this has something to do with my MS Office 365 account. About a month ago I did implement two factor authentication on my MS 365 account. I suspect that Box and MS are somehow linked?
Any suggestions? Thanks,
-Jon
