    Hi there,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

You will have to use other features such as Box Tools if you would like to edit the test of your uploaded document to Box. Box Tools is an add-on feature that allows you to open and edit files stored in Box. Designed for all file types, browsers, and platforms, Box Tools uses the default application installed on your computer to open and edit files: Docx files open in Microsoft Word, PPTx files open in Microsoft PowerPoint, Xlsx files open in Excel, and so forth.

Once you have successfully updated the document, you can use Box Sign to add fields et al and send that document for sign to others. To learn more about Box Sign, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404105810195-Sending-a-document-for-signature

Hope this information helps! If you have questions, please let us know and we will help you!

    Regards,

    thank you responding.

So are you saying, there is no way to start your document in box sign?
or can you nest feilds inside one another?

Ex: create one field can be called can be called NOTES, an empty field just for typing & editing my document while I use and place other fields inside my notes feild.  Then lock my notes field while allowing other fields insid my notes field for input data by the customer.

how come when I send a blank text box with two priority order signatures and a text box for me to fill-in, the text box is blank when the next person receives the doc to sign?

the first priority signature and the text box which I will place text and form information is for me then

the second priority signature is for the next person then

the completed doc is sent to everyone.

Is there anyone to talk to about this?
don't want to use up my monthly sign quota testing this thing.
