    Hi Stephen, 

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    Unfortunately, no, Box Drive support on the new Apple M1 chipset will not be on this update.

    We will be releasing a Beta build of Box Drive that will be compatible with Apple's new devices using M1 chips.  The Beta is planned in early this year and you may contact your account team for information regarding the Beta. 

    Meanwhile, customers on these devices are encouraged to leverage our web-based application (https://app.box.com).

    So when can we expect the fix?  My entire firm uses Box and Box Drive is critical to efficiency.  The browser approach is just plain slow to deal with.  The M1 chip was in the hands of developers for quite some time and Box has yet to figure out how to play with it.  Are you willing to drive us and other customers to an alternative?

    I'm in the same situation - Box Drive is critical to our workflow browser is not a viable alternative - we have many linked files. Can we get an update from the dev team on when we can expect a fix? 'Early in the year' is too vague. Many thanks.
