Box Drive - Read Only Folder (Upload Error)

I have a folder that is read only for all users. The folder is used by an application that attempts to write a temporary file to the local folder that can not be changed. This causes Box Drive notification errors. Is there a way to create these temp files (they are always the same name) in the master Box drive so the user has the ability to write to the local file. I'm not sure if there is a way to solve this. Any ideas?
