    Hi Tim,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

These headers are currently not customizable so you won't be able to change them. If you need to see the metadata of the file, you have to open in it preview and click (M) icon on the side bar to for Metadata.

To learn more about Metadata, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196173-Using-Metadata

Wow. OK, I'm really surprised at that. A document management system that doesn't let you see your document data. Surely the whole point is that Box lets me manage my documents better than Windows Explorer. All the sharing etc is superfluous if you can't even go into a document library and quickly see the document you want.

My scenario is that we're adding documents from a mixture of sources - some are actual files (Word, Excel), some are scanned paper documents. Filenames are random, especially for the scanned documents. Each document is linked to a single customer and is a one of half a dozen document types (we can set this in metadata). Currently on Box, I would have to identify a quotation (for example) based on its filename, filesize and last update info, because I can't see the customer and document type on screen. It makes Box unusable.

I agree that this should be a standard function. Other document management systems have configurable columns to make it easier organize files by type, tags, size, etc. or view the description and metadata at-a-glance.

We have similar needs to use the File Upload link to receive files from the public, but the only way to see the description that the user entered is to click on each file individually rather than have everything on a single pane.

Can this be added to feature requests?
