Does query_params become mandatory?

Does input parameter “query_params” in API “Query files/folders by metadata”(https://developer.box.com/reference/post-metadata-queries-execute-read/) become mandatory?

About 1 month ago, we can execute queries without query_params, but recently we can’t. Without query_params, for example, "fieldName IS NULL", the following error returned.

 

The API returned an error code [400 | 0f5621d4b264c67eef66d1de0dc146bb8.0f5621d4b264c67eef66d1de0dc146bb8] unexpected_json_type - Unexpected JSON with type string
