Box Upgrade to 2.31.64 on 3/5/2023 has issues in Win 10
CompletedOn/about 3/5/2023 I upgraded from a previous Box version to 2.31.64 on my Windows 10 Enterprise laptop (Ver 22H2 OS Build 19045.2965). Since that time, every day when I login I get 3 consecutive Box errors.
Description:
1. Application popup: Box.exe - Bad Image : C:\Program Files\Box\python310.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.
Then:
2. No error messages generated: FormatMessageW: The parameter is incorrect.
Then:
3. Error loading python DLL: c:\program files\Box\Box\python310.dll' LoadLibrary: Pyinstaller: FormatMessageW failed:
I have tried to uninstall Box and it fails with this error in the Event Log:

I found that Box was installed in a duplicate folder called C:\program files\Box\Box and tried to copy files from the second Box folder back to the original Box folder and that does not seem to help either with the functionality or the uninstall.
What are my next steps here? I believe this has caused some system instability as well and causes a blue screen of death on my system quite frequently though I dont have a lot of evidence to prove that.
Thank you,
Regards,
Balakumar

As part of the 12f error, I tried to fix the laptop using the DISM and SFS scans. They reported some corruption that was fixed but did not resolve this issue.
I also reregistered all dlls, and installed the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable as well and rebooted. None of the above seem to make a difference.
This was the URL I used: [Fixed] Error Status 0xc000012f (pcrisk.com)
