Installing BoxTools on Azure Virtual Machine with Restricted Registry Settings
AnsweredAt PJ, there is a request to install BoxTools on an Azure virtual machine. However, it has been mentioned that the registry cannot be modified due to the standard configuration of the virtual machine on the PJ side. It was also stated that if the installer requires registry changes, the installation would not be possible. Does the installer for BoxTools require modifying the machine's registry?

Hi there,
Welcome to Box Community and
Box Edit/Box Tools may work in a virtual environment, but certain limitations are known. Be sure to use the MSI installer on VM/VDI. For more information, see Using Box in Virtual Environments.
Hope it helps!
