Unable to install Box on Win11 "please wait while Windows configures Box"
AnsweredI can't uninstall Box from Add/Remove Programs. When I try to overinstall, a window flashes up for a second "Please wait while Windows configures Box", then no other status windows. Tried removing all Box items from Registry and Program Files >>> same error.
The Windows event Viewer has this entry "Product: Box -- Error 1704. An installation for Box is currently suspended. You must undo the changes made by that installation to continue. Do you want to undo those changes?" And there is no button to do that.
How do I remove those changes?

Hi Daniel,
Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!
For your install to be successful, please make sure that your machine has met the prerequisites for Box Drive.
Prerequisites:
- Supported OS version
- Universal CRT
- .NET version 4.5.2 or higher
- Box Sync is not installed
Recommended minimum system specifications:
- 1.6GHz dual core processor
- 4GB of RAM
Note
If your machine does not meet the recommended system specifications listed above, you may still be able to install and run Box Drive. However, you may encounter a degraded experience. To install Box Drive on Windows:
- Download the Box Drive installer.
- Navigate to the location where you downloaded the file, and double-click it to run the installer.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation. If Box Drive does not launch automatically when the installation completes, you may need to go to the Start menu and launch the application manually.
- You must log in to Box Drive the first time you open it. You may be redirected to your company's login page.
- After you log in, Box Drive displays a brief walkthrough of its features. When this completes, your Box content is available at C:\Users\USERNAME\Box.
Hope it works!
